The Geoffrey Chalk Memorial Fund Travel Scholarship, managed by the British Association of Landscape Industries, is an unrivalled opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic landscaper or landscaping student to travel, with the intention of broadening their landscaping horizons and passing on their newly found knowledge and experience to others within the sector. |
|
The recipient of the scholarship will receive £1,500 to fund travel related to the Landscape Industry. Past recipients have travelled to South Africa to research the native plants of the Cape, to Japan to visit the UK WorldSkills Competition and to Germany and Holland to investigate the large scale perennial planting style in Europe’s public parks and gardens, and to California to investigate Green Roof Technology and natural swimming pools. The 2009 recipient Rebecca Crowley is planning to take a grand tour of Britain’s Gardens. |
